That girl of ours is causing trouble! They tried to take the breathing tube out and she was so irritable she ended up thrashing around and it made her vitals drop so they had to sedate her and try again. Twice. I stepped out for a minute for some air and milk production then I'm going to go back in and pray maybe she's calm again for another trial. They said it might be the night shift that pulls it off with all the busy shift change stuff about to happen. They don't like to rock the boat around this time of day.
Good news is though that she's perfectly fine, just ill and letting people know about it. The nurse gave us a gut check if we could stick around because alot of times they will ask you to leave when that kind of stuff happens. I initially react like any mother would and try to act like I can do something to help her, but then I remember...that's just not how we roll in Holland.
