Ellie is in a room! We're all settled down and thanking God she just had heart surgery five days ago!
Checking out of the RMcD house was quite the mission. I cleaned that room so fast and packed our stuff up so quickly and could not believe Jeff's speed up and down, up and down the elevator. I think we both had Flight of the Bumblebee in our heads. We got here just in time to see her getting settled into her new room.
First on the agenda, an echo cardiogram. Ellie was less than pleased yet another thing was delaying her getting held by her Momma and Daddy.
But the good news is her pressures are still DOWN!
There we go, the first time the girl has been dressed since Wednesday! No time for clothes in the ICU!
Awake and very calm - seems to be feeling great!
And the big new necklace - here it is! Check out the heart bead! I picked through all the choices, some were faded and scratched so I focused on the four c's of plastic beads. Cute, charming, cool and charitable...all of which Ellie most certainly is.
We've been told tomorrow will be a full morning - lots of people coming to see us and checking on how she's doing!
Oh, and small detail - you know how you can go somewhere and say something like "Boy they really need to change this or that" regarding something that's old, pitiful, unacceptable. Well the washers and dryers here at the hospital were borderline old, pitiful and unacceptable. Look what I found today doing our first load! Aunt Louise, we'll wash laundry together in solidarity in our new stackable washer/dryers!
