Ellie is leaving the ICU! A short 5 days after open heart surgery she's doing great and is moving toward coming home! How long we stay in this other "step down" unit is unclear but I can tell you this - tomorrow being Monday is HUGE! The wheels are definitely greased for the girl!
Jeff is at mass praying for our family. I just did rounds by myself and was there just in time for a volcanic erruption all down her front, once again! They said she did it last night too. She usually does spit up alot at home, we know that. But it got the doctor's attention and thankfully all they said was "maybe we should not go up much more on volume today for her". Whew! Not a big worry and it takes a bit of pressure off me to produce. Anyway, I scooped up the babydoll that got puked on and her pretty afghan is getting it's second wash since we've been here. It's beginning to show fuzzies, fadedness and nappiness. Reminds me of my soul. But I still love it because it's still the blanket, just like we love Ellie because she is Ellie, Jacob because he is Jacob, Xavier because he is Xavier, Julia because she is Julia and God loves us because we are us.
