Early start

Ellie was awake early this morning!  That means "all hands on deck" to keep her happy if she gets fussy before the nurse arrives.

This morning the use of an 8-year-old singing plush frog did the trick.  You know who you are Seattle aunt and uncle - thanks for giving that to Jacob!

 Then I tried to feed her some - she wasn't too cooperative with that.  So then the boys took over and held a contest of "which toy she would hold the longest".

We had "Big Ben",

a cockroach they have affectionately named "Cocky",

 and a mummy.

The ancient Egyptian statue won.
