This is what one of our cabinets looks like. Besides Mother Nature's food - Ellie now has enough other stuff to last for months! Here we have more than 20 cans of Polycose to add to the milk. Then the search for what is "next" for Ellie has finally ended thanks to the input of two dieticians, one pharmacist, a friend in a similar situation and a pediatrician. I got our first box of "meal replacement" containers and they are ready to go when our girl needs it. There is nothing better than natural, but for food to be covered by insurance is a new concept - one which we are grateful for so we'll be glad to give it to her to help her grow. One of these little 8 oz containers cost the price of feeding your child at Denny's. Why am I promoting Denny's?
On the menu last night was milk, cereal and sweet potatoes. Also all provided to us.
I can't say she liked it. What you see below is what a typical 6-month-old or so baby looks like eating solids in the beginning. The thing that's different about our almost-one-year old is that what you see on her face was about all I tried to feed her. She's so good at getting it back OUT of her mouth!
What can you do? Go Dawgs!!!
