The day we got here - in the ICU with full "contact" precautions since she tested positive for a cold.
Hi, Mom. Where are we??
Here again, Dad?
The princess in her castle.
The two of them at it again.
Ellie lets her hair down.
Sunday football.
Tasty hands for a snack.
Rough evening, had a fever - not to mention a sore IV.
Much better.
Sleeping arrangements in the room with Ellie. "Couch" for Mom, chair for Dad. Whoever the patron saints of back and neck pain are - pray to them for Jeff!
This is what Ellie looks like when she's crying. Still so cute!
We got assigned a room in the intensive care unit which of course is the most sterile place on earth. Right above Ellie's bed though we noticed there is a playing card on the ceiling!!! It's not just any card, it's a 6 of hearts with the word "divine" written on it! There is a magician, David Blane...we had just caught his show on tv before we came here - he's always writing people's names on cards then shuffling them and finding that card.
So we got maintenance to get us a ladder and we pulled it down. It was stuck with some kind of rubber cement - just sitting up there for who knows how long.
Our family of six has great love and is being divinely cared for.
A post-operative Ellie not feeling well.
A little rub down.
Mornings at Ronald McDonald.
EVERY day when we leave the RMcD house this chicken is crossing the road!
Why is he doing that?
Cold hospitals make for sterile environments and freezing parents.
