Ellie does not like wind. She wants out of her stroller. She covers her ears when the siren starts. I frantically go for the iPad to access episodes of Blue's Clues that I always have stored on there and something is not right. The episodes are not there! I did some quick research and found out...Blue's Clues has been dropped from Amazon Prime Video! 👎
How we got through the next 3 hours involved every bit of food I had in our picnic bag. She did eventually calm down and enjoy other parts of the iPad besides shows. And luckily another channel we stream for free has clips of Blue's Clues that occasionally pop up among all the other shows. She always gets a big smile when they come on. We'll always love you, Blue!
Speaking of weather sirens - we were all bracing for Hurricane Irma last month. Our "safe room" is Ellie's closet. Here is a picture of it all emptied out onto her bed. As you can see, it's typically a storage space for clothing bins and toys! It was a school day so here you see Jacob doing his math in his quiet corner and the other two spread out on the floor with their books.
We were lucky to have no damage at all with the storm. Just a fun day with Daddy home! Ellie occupies herself quite well these days during school. She went through a phase a few weeks ago where she was constantly requiring attention (can I say demanding it?) but just like Hurricane Irma...that blew over.
I just love when she lines her figurines up to watch a show too. |
We have some young card players in the house! It's a lot of fun.
Shirts are not required. |
Neither are shoes. |
Ellie wants to read one of Mommy's newspaper stories. |
Happy Birthday Julia!!!
Ellie loves her big sister!!!
We've all had our flu shots so we're praying we stay healthy through this cold season! We're looking forward to the holidays and will be back soon with some Halloween pictures! ❤
